Referees

Referees play a vital role in the game of ringette, helping to ensure fair play, safety, and an enjoyable experience for all participants. Whether you're a returning official or looking to get started, the Officiating Ringette website is your go-to resource for everything you need.

Visit www.officiatingringette.ca to access a wealth of information, including rulebooks, certification pathways, upcoming clinics, and officiating tools. This is also where all referees—new and returning—must register for the season.

Becoming a ringette official is a great way to stay active in the sport, develop leadership skills, and earn extra income. We encourage players, parents, and community members to consider stepping onto the ice in stripes!

All officials must register for the season through the Officiating Ringette registration portal. This step is required to be eligible to officiate games during the season. Registration ensures you're included in communications, scheduled for games, and properly certified based on your experience level. The Greater Sudbury Ringette Association will cover your referee registration fee.
