Every spring and fall, the Greater Sudbury Ringette Association (GSRA) hosts Come Try Ringette events — and they’re completely FREE!
This is your chance to lace up your skates, grab a stick, and discover one of Canada’s fastest-growing ice sports. Whether you’ve never been on the ice before, you play hockey, or you already know someone in ringette, everyone is welcome to give it a try!
Ringette is a fast-paced, non-contact team sport designed for players of all skill levels. It’s a game built on teamwork, speed, and fun. At our Come Try Ringette events, you’ll learn the basics — how to hold a stick, pass the ring, stab and carry the ring, and even take your first shot on net.
Have a friend who already plays? Bring them along and try it together!
Curious hockey player? Come see what makes ringette unique.
Thinking about being a goalie? Here’s your chance to suit up and test it out!
All you need is:
Skates
Helmet (CSA approved)
Gloves (hockey gloves or warm winter gloves)
We’ll provide the sticks and rings for you to use. If you already have your own, feel free to bring it along!
GSRA hosts Come Try Ringette events every spring and fall. Specific dates, times, and arenas will be announced on our website and social media pages.
👉 Be sure to check back often or subscribe to our news feed to stay up to date on upcoming events.
